A branch of the Williamsburg Winery, Dominion Wine Cellars produces some really wonderful dessert wines, especially their late harvest Vidal and Blackberry Merlot. Worth stopping by for a taste.

Located in Leon, Virginia just south of Warrenton and Culpeper, Prince Michel makes some very nice wines from native Virginian fruit. We liked their Rapidan River Riesling, their Cabernet Sauvignon and their Tres Bien dessert wine. Worth a visit.

We didn’t actually get to visit Williamsburg proper, but instead sampled the wines at their partner facility in Culpeper (Dominion Wine Cellars). We enjoyed the Governor’s and James River whites, as well as the Cabernet Sauvignon.
