Everyone should recognize this perennial favorite – the San Felice Chianti Classico, and if you don’t, you should! The wine is almost always an annual purchase, and it is frequently heavily discounted, which makes it even more irresistible.
My tasting note:
Cherry, black berry and dried herb in the nose. Classic Chianti profile. Medium-bodied with moderate acidity and supple tannins. Well-balanced, although the wine is truly a friend of hearty Italian cuisine. Bright, red fruit on the palate with eucalyptus and barnyard notes. Moderate length, crisp and a little clipped, making it even friendlier with food. An outstanding value!
Cheers!
