This primer course has been designed to give students a closer examination of the vocabulary and mechanics of the critical wine tasting process. Through the use of an important tool, the Wine Aroma Wheel created by A.C. Noble, PhD at the University of California at Davis, we will closely examine wine aromas and tastes and their corresponding descriptions.
Students will have the opportunity to taste and compare classic red and white grape varieties from a number of old and new world wine regions, focused closely on aromatic and taste components.
Classes are limited to 10; six wine glasses will be provided for use during each class.
The course consists of three (3), 2-hour sessions, one day a week. A student can take the one day primer, two day advanced, or three day immersion depending on interest. A student can take the one day primer, two day advanced, or three day immersion depending on interest.
